As an artist, I believe in the power of public  art
Public artwork brings people together and build pride in a community. I think that environmental art, in particular, can be really effective in creating safe spaces where people can gather and have fun. I love public artwork because it's accessible to everyone and can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life.
I am grateful to share my artwork in these public spaces.

New Mural Honoring Hilton Head Island History
On May 22, 2024, the Town of Hilton Head Island unveiled a new mural created by Amiri, paying tribute to the island’s rich history. The mural honors the Hilton Head Island Fishing Cooperative, which was founded in 1966, celebrating the legacy and contributions of the local fishing community. This artwork serves as a visual reminder of the island’s cultural heritage and deep connection to the sea Island and Gullah culture

Public Artwork
Here are a few of my favorite recent public artworks, each reflecting my goal of creating unique and engaging pieces in collaboration with institutions around the world. Through these projects, I strive to bring art to diverse spaces, fostering meaningful connections within communities.
